Now for an oops that is rarely seen. This 55c Mercury Police Car has the plastic interior fitted the wrong way around leaving the Police Officers peering out of the rear window, Not to mention the badly aligned label on the bonnet (hood). This one is part of the Jason Roper collection, Thanks for sharing this super find with us Jason. |
Plating errors are fairly common in the Models of Yesteryear range but maybe they are not so common on early issues like this one which has one rear wheel brass plated and the front wheel in bare mazac, It was sent in by JJ of the Forum. Thanks for sharing JJ. |
From Forum member John (Matchboxmodels) comes this extremely low riding 21b Bedford Coach, This low riding stance is due to the baseplate being fitted in upside down which makes for an interesting oops, Thanks for sharing John. |
This number 9 Fire Escape has had a piece of molten metal drip onto the escape wheels, Which is technically called 'snot' by collectors, These snot affected pieces are quite hard to find, This photo was sent in by John (Johmboy) from the Forum, Thanks for sharing John, Nice error. |
I'm not sure if this box is suffering from water damage, Sun damage or if it is a printing error, I err towards the 'its the printers fault' myself but I have a few more pictures like this from the same source, More later. Photo courtesy the internet. |
I think we may have a double paint error here, Not only is the silver trim missing from the grille but also missing is the red paint from the seats which is quite an unusual error and one I don't remember seeing before. This one was also sent in by John (Johnboy) from the Forum, Thanks again John, What a super oops. |
Luckily this 33a Ford Zodiac wheel error does not spoil the car too much. These two colour Zodiacs are pretty hard to come by at the best of times. This picture was sent in by a Forum member who's details I don't have, If you contact me then I will update the credit information for this picture. |
This very unusual number 61a Ferret Scout Car has had the baseplate fitted the wrong way around and it makes you wonder why these are not found more often. Photo courtesy Rodger (Tractorboy) from the Forum, Thanks for sharing Rodger. |
Matthias Zogg from the Forum sent in this picture of his number 44d Boss Mustang which looks like it completely missed out on the black paint to the bunnet (hood), Very nice Matthias, Thanks for sharing. |
