This is another entry from Steve (matchboxkiwi) from the forum, it shows the horses and riders from a small coronation coach minus one of the riders heads and as can be seen the casting has a full covering of paint so nothing has broken off, thanks for sharing Steve. |
Another example of a wheel not getting its hot foiling chrome plate, This one is from the collection of Daz (daz28) from the forum, Thanks for sharing Daz. |
I have noticed this exact same casting fault on quite a few other #9 Fire Engines so my guess is it may never have been repaired, this one was sent in by Stephan (malibu) from the forum, Thanks Stephan. |
Unlike the hand applied extra decals, extra lables normally get applied to approximately the correct area because they were fitted n place by a machine but it is not always the case. photo courtesy Steve ( matchboxkiwi) from the forum, Thanks for sharing Steve. |
I'm guessing this must have been a deliberate error, how else would you drill right the way through a baseplate using the rivet burring machine, its a very nice error though, Its from the collection of Gerrit (ecclesley) from the forum, Thanks for sharing Gerrit. |
This pair of Rolls Royce errors are, of course, from Kevins collection (ghosthunter) who else?, The hardtop is missing its chrome plated hubcap and the convertible has one of the rear wheels fitted backwards, very neat, thanks for sharing Kevin. |
This tanker has a severly deformed wheel which looks to me like it never fully formed in the mold. how errors like this passed quality control is a mystery. this example is from the collection of Stephan (malibu), Thanks for sharing Stephan. |
