Moko Lesney Matchbox 21c Commer Milk Float

Two different sets of decals were used, The early issues had bottle decals to the doors and the roof banner decal would read 'drink more milk' with a red background to the word 'milk', The later decal set had a grazing cow applied to the doors and the roof banner decal still read 'drink more milk' but it was a completely new decal and now the red background was behind the 'drink more'. The plastic used for the milk crate load was originally a light tan but later issues can be found with off white or white loads.
The only casting variation was the previously mentioned removal of the front tongue from the baseplate and filling in of the slot in the front bumper where it was located, When this was done the front bumper was made deeper and a line was added to the baseplate between the front edges of the front wheel openings. Lesney made slight casting mistake with the commer, the door handles are in the forwards position as found on the sliding door version but it is easy to see that the model was based on a vehicle with slam doors so the doorhandles are at the wrong ends of the doors!.

The blue version was originally thought to be a sunfade but on closer inspection appears that the casting was painted in the regular green by the lower spray guns and blue fron the higher spray guns so the inside is green and the outside blue. I'm pretty sure it's no sunfade because the covering of blue is much too regular, To get this effect by leaving it in the sun it would have to have been turned regularly to get an even fade. I scratched off a small area of decal and it is blue underneath where the paint was protected from sunfade, If it were sunfade it should have been green.
