Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Y-8 1945 MG TC

The Y8-4 1945 MG TC joined the range in 1978. It was initially painted dark green body & chassis with a light brown roof and seats but it also appeared with bright red, dark pink or black seats. It had a chrome plated grille and headlights and usually finely cast 24 spoke chrome wire wheels but the bright red seated version can also be found with 12 spoke red or green plastic wheels. All green MG's had the racing number 3 decal applied to the doors and all of the later issues had no decals.
The model was recoloured to bright red body & chassis with a light brown roof that can be found with black or bright red seats, One red version had a rust brown roof with black seats.
It was recoloured again to a darker red body & chassis with a brown roof and black or bright red seats, One darker red issue had a rust brown roof and black seats.
The model was then recoloured to blue body & chassis with a brown or rust brown roof and either black or brown seats.
The model was recoloured to a cream body and dark brown chassis with a brown, dark brown or rusty brown roof and either a pinky-brown, brown, dark brown or black seats, This issue also had whitewall tyres fitted to the 24 spoke chromed wire wheels.
The MG was replaced by the y8 1917 Yorkshire steam wagon in 1987.
