Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Y-62 1932 Ford
Model AA 1½ ton truck

The Y62-1 1932 Ford Model AA 1½ ton truck joined the range in 1992, It was in the green livery of G. W. Peacock a haulage company based in St. Ives in Cornwall. The model was unusual as it was fitted with a full set of windows and it had a seperate black plastic extension to the chassis which held the spare tyre in place.
No further Y-62 were issued although recoloured models of the Ford have been released in the Matchbox Collectibles range.

Above: The Ford had a green diecast body and a grey plastic roof, It had red disc wheels with push fit axles and a chromed grille and headlights. The load was brown plastic sacks and the model featured mauve body lining and a white W G Peacock logo. The Ford had a made in China baseplate and all fords had a screw hole to secure the model inside the box.

Above: The model had black plastic seats and the chassis had a rear axle molding covering the rear axle complete with radius rods and propshaft.
