The Y21-4 1955 BMW 507 joined the range in 1988 as a Special Limited Edition. It was the only post WWII road going model and being such a large scale model as well really looks out of place when lined up with the other Model of Yesteryear, It was however a finely detailed model and it should have probably been released as part of the new Lesney owned Dinky range, It had originally been designated Y33 as the inside of the roof and underneath of the bonnet are both marked YY33. It was painted in what the motor trade calls "Doom Blue" and it had a black convertible roof, Lesney really went to town with this one as it has no less than 21 chrome plated parts, There was only the one colour released and no promotionals were issued and in 1989 the BMW was replaced by the Y21-5 Ford TT van.
