Tradesman Woody Wagon
The Y21-2 1930 Ford Model A Tradesman Woody Wagon was introduced in 1983, It used the body from the earlier Y21-1 Woody Wagon which had been modified by the filling in of the side windows and removal of the rear passenger door handles, The rest of the vehicle was as of the Y21-1 model. The model used "Lesney © 1981" and "Matchbox © 1981" baseplates and as it was in production at the same time the Woody Wagon many parts got interchanged giving lots of variations.
In 1987 the Tradesman Woody Wagon was replaced by the Y21-3 Aveling & Porter Steam Roller.

The A & J Box van could have either a metallic copper, dark orange, metallic orange or yellow bonnet. The seats can be off white, pale brown or bright red and the wheels 12 or 24 spoke chromed. The baseplates are usually brown but one variation has black baseplates, The baseplate can read "Lesney © 1981" or "Matchbox © 1981". The red or pale brown seats are hard to find.

Above: The Carter's version of the Tradesman can be found with a white or a cream body, The seats can be light brown, orangy brown or off white and the 'Carter's' logo can be in light blue or darker blue, The wheels were chromed 12 spoke which may or may not have white wall tyres. The baseplates can be matt black or gloss black and are usually "Matchbox © 1981" but a few have been seen with "Lesney © 1981" baseplates.
