Above. The Hoover van was released in 1983 and it had a orange body with a black chassis and roof. It had type 3 rear doors and a chrome plated radiator and windscreen frame, It usually has black seats but has also been seen with brown seats and it had 12 spoke black plastic wheels but the last issue had 24 spoke black plastic wheels. One rare blue painted preproduction issue is known but care should be taken when purchasing these odd colours as fakes are known to exist.

Above. The Hoover van. All issues had
'LESNEY © 1978 ENGLAND' baseplates.

Above. The Pepsi Cola van was introduced in 1984, It had a white body, blue chassis and red roof with a chrome plated radiator grille and windscreen frame, It had black seats and steering wheel and type 3 rear doors, The model can be found with a 'LESNEY © 1978 ENGLAND' baseplate with red 12 spoke or 12 or 24 spoke chrome wheels, Later the baseplate was altered to 'MATCHBOX © 1985 ENGLAND' and this one had either 12 or 24 spoke chrome plated wheels, There are no rare variations.

Above. The Pepsi Cola van. The later issues had 'bosses' inside the roof casting where the plastic Gherkin was removed and the holes filled in from the earlier Heinz version.

Above. The Motor 100 was released in 1985, It was painted metallic bronze with a dark brown chassis and roof and it had black plastic seats. The radiator and windscreen frame were gold plated and it can be found with bright red, dull red or gold 12 spoke wheels. It has type 3 rear doors and it featured decals for the Silverstone 'Motor 100' event of which a few have been found with the printed colours reversed, ie.- blue land and cream water instead of blue water and cream land and these are hard to find/rare.

Above. The 'Motor 100' was produced to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the internal combustion engine, 2300 certificated models were released at the Motor 100 celebration at the Silverstone racing circuit. Models on general release were not certificated.

The Imbach was released in 1985 and although it had a Y-12 baseplate it was really more of Y-3 model T Tanker with a new rear body and with it being released as a Limited Editon in special packaging it should probably have had it's own Y- number. It had a blue body and roof with a black chassis and gold plated windscreen frame and radiator. It could have either light brown or light pinky brown seats and red or gold plated 12 spoke wheels. All issues have a misspelling to the baseplate, It reads "MATCHBOX © 1985 ENGLAND LIMITED EDTION"(EDITION). There are no rare variations.

The Heinz was released in 1986. It had a greyish-green body and roof with a dark green chassis, The seats were black or very dark green and it usually had a gold plated radiator and windscreen frame but one issue had these components in chrome plate. The rear doors were type 3 and it can be found with maroon, bright or dark red or gold plated 12 spoke wheels. The baseplate usually has "MATCHBOX © 1985 ENGLAND" inscribed but the hard to find first issue had a "LESNEY © 1978 ENGLAND" and the last version had a "MATCHBOX © 1986 ENGLAND" baseplate. The first issue had a dark green plastic gherkin on the roof, The later issues had a bright green gherkin and the last issue had an emerald green gherkin.

Above. The Rosella was a Limited Edition released in 1987 and painted dark blue with a yellow roof, Visually there were just the four wheel variations, 12 spoke in bright red, dark red, maroon or gold but surprisingly there are four versions of the baseplate text, They are

LESNEY © 1978 ENGLAND

MATCHBOX © 1985
ENGLAND

MATCHBOX © 1986 ENGLAND

MATCHBOX © 1986 ENGLAND
LIMITED EDITION

These wheel and baseplate variations were a result of using up old stock as the model was released shortly before Lesneys Rochford factory was due to be closed and production moved to Macau.
