Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Y-11 1924 Bugatti type 35

In 1990 the Y11-5 1924 Bugatti became the second model of the type 35 to enter the range after the Y6-2 which had been out of production for some 22 years, It was of course painted French racing blue and it had a matching blue plastic "Made in Macau" baseplate.
No further issues of the Bugatti were released although the model was not deleted or replaced.

Above: The model of the Bugatti had black plastic seats and it had grey steering wheel and dashboard which had black trim to the dials and a light brown steering wheel rim. It also had a small clear plastic windscreen and the grille, steering linkage, brake rods, exhaust system and wheels were chrome plated, The chrome wheels were perhaps a little too glittery but do not detract from what is a finely detailed and accurate model. The racing number 6 was tampo printed to the grille center and to both sides of the bonnet and tail. As a finishing touch the bonnet was further enhanced by the addition of two brown plastic bonnet straps.

Above: The Bugatti, at 1/35th scale was one of the larger scale models to join the Yesteryear range. (The Sunbeam motorcycle at 1/34th being the largest). There are no variations and no rarities.
