Matchbox King-Size No.K-5 Foden Dump Truck

In 1961 the Lesney Matchbox King-Size K-5 Foden Dump Truck became the fifth model to join the range, It was painted yellow all over and the sides of the engine cover carried small red "Foden" decals, The wheel hubs were unpainted metal to begin with that were later replaced with red plastic, All were fitted with black plastic tyres, The finishing touch was to have the radiator grille trimmed with silver paint, Although the tipper body could be raised for emptying the tipper would not stay in the raised position because this model was released before 'hydrosleves' were introduced. The Foden was packed in C, D and E type boxes, It was in the range until 1967 when it was replaced by the Racing Car Transporter

Matchbox King-Size No.K5 Foden Dump Truck - yellow cab and chassis, bare metal hubs with black tyres - Near Mint (does have some small marks around edge of rear tipping body) in Good Plus Lesney carded picture box.
