Matchbox King-Size No.K-3 Hatra Tractor Shovel

The Lesney Matchbox King-Size K-3 Hatra Tractor Shovel joined the range in 1965 when it replaced the Caterpillar Bulldozer. The Hatra was painted orange, It had red plastic hubs with black plastic tyres and the window unit was light green tinted plastic, The shovel could be rotated and raised and to hold it in the lifted position it had the usual black plastic hydrosleeve fitted, The sides of the cab carried black & white 'Hatra' decals that can be found with either square or angled lettering which seems to be for the moment anyway the only known variation, It was packaged in E and F type boxes with the F type being slightly rarer than the E type, It was replaced by the Massey Ferguson Tractor & Trailer in 1970.
