Some photos taken at the big swapmeet in Houten, The Netherlands, saturday october 19th. It was a hectic day with a lot of crowd.
I was there around 7.45 to come in with a dutch dealer and help with his stand. At 10.00 the doors open for the public.
The biggest swapmeet in the Netherlands with aprox 5.000 visitors each 2 months and aprox 1200 metres of tables in 2 big halls.
Christian Falkensteiner drove all the way from Austria to atend and Pavel Sobol came even from the south of the Chech Republic and brought some friends from Prague. John Nijhuis had his succesfull stand with the latest Matchbox 1-75 models.
It was exactly 40 years ago that the organizer started with this swapmeet (although at another location)
I remember going to the currently location from 1984 orso.
Anyway there was a band in the public entrance this time to celebrate the party.
Stand of Jos Souren with some very nice giftsets including a rare 1962 Major Pack set.
(black wheels on the tractor were a photograhic problem)
Stand of Dirk Schleuer from Germany who had the new Leipzig Karmann Ghia with him. (see toprow)
Uwe and Andreas Maas from Germany at their stand and they bought 2 Coronation Coaches to name just a few.
This rare 1964 G9 service station set was for sale from 2 Belgium vendors who always good vintage items.
This Superfast set was also at their stand (I never saw this before)
John Matthews had an aprox 1970 display for sale full of the right boxed models.
Nice selection of late sixties Kingsize models at the stand of a Dutch vendor.
The reativly new released Dinky models from Michelline from Belgium. (this is only a part of this series)
I stayed till 15.30 orso.
