Casting #74

74a Mobile Canteen, issued 1959, length 67mm, box types B-C and D.
74b Daimler (Fleetline), issued 1966, length 76mm, box types E and F.
The two different castings to the front of the model.
The five different Colour Bases of the 74a model.
Come on Greg (Molars) show us your great Pink 74a model, please.

Please pardon my tardiness George. Matchbox Toys have been forced into the background fairly often in recent weeks.

Nice lineup, Greg. Still need 2 of those variations. Someday!!! Thanks for showing, one of my favorite castings and one I didn't know existed as a child. My interest began in the mid 60's.

Again sorting out and had these together, another picture for the casting show. 3 models with the small open window, right hand model showing the filled in window.

Those are lovely! I wonder why they filled in the small window - it doesn't look like it was difficult to cast properly and it's not really any smaller than the rear window on the lower deck.

Hi Glenn, I think it might because a brace was added in this area on the interior. If you look at the unpainted one which has a later interior this goes across the window.
