Re: Casting #74
Please pardon my tardiness George. Matchbox Toys have been forced into the background fairly often in recent weeks.
Here is a photo of the pink-cream model:

Nice lineup, Greg. Still need 2 of those variations. Someday!!! Thanks for showing, one of my favorite castings and one I didn't know existed as a child. My interest began in the mid 60's.

Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.

Again sorting out and had these together, another picture for the casting show. 3 models with the small open window, right hand model showing the filled in window.

Those are lovely! I wonder why they filled in the small window - it doesn't look like it was difficult to cast properly and it's not really any smaller than the rear window on the lower deck.nearlymint wrote:Again sorting out and had these together, another picture for the casting show. 3 models with the small open window, right hand model showing the filled in window.

Re: Casting #74
Hi Glenn, I think it might because a brace was added in this area on the interior. If you look at the unpainted one which has a later interior this goes across the window.DrJeep wrote:Those are lovely! They are lovely. Is the second base from the left an unlisted colour?
