Also signs of original paint to bottom edges of body and inside front wheel arches (have to magnify to see but it is there)Idris wrote:Repaint: rivets drilled and body wear significantly less than baseplate wear.
If that's the one I'm thinking of (and I doubt very much whether there's more than one of these on Ebay), I didn't like the look of the baseplate rivets which appeared to be oversized, plus the body was as good as mint whilst the baseplate and wheels were extremely worn. Conclusion: repaint! (Having said that, the red did indeed look to be a very close match to the 10d Pipe Truck.)kbean63 wrote:Recemtly I was watching a site hut truck in the same red as a Leyland Ergomatic pipe truck. I never heard of them being this color so I'm wondering if it was I a well done repaint. Anybody?
I just did a recheck on it and in the description the seller mentions it's a repaint. I knew there was something screwy with those rivets.Idris wrote:If that's the one I'm thinking of (and I doubt very much whether there's more than one of these on Ebay), I didn't like the look of the baseplate rivets which appeared to be oversized, plus the body was as good as mint whilst the baseplate and wheels were extremely worn.
