Thinking about it, some of that Meccano might actually be Primus. (The latter is thicker and has larger diameter holes.)
There are some pieces of metal in there marked primus ,corner pieces,and i would guess the wood is original.

All that makes absolute sense......If that is the case with the black spray to represent detail it was a pretty poor do....No mention in any Morestone history although the race car above is shown in Nickolas Martins site and in somewhat similar colours.HHMmmm

That land speed record car has distinct Art Deco overtones and reminds me very strongly of some Manoils.

Wheels are a similar design but without one in hand I could'nt swear they where the same...

Heres an interesting picture......I hope Idris dos'nt mind me useing his picture from 4 years ago of a MAFWO diecast Aston and my mystery car from underneath..Please draw you own conclusions..I cant even convince myself..
