Great AJR!
Same like Ghosty. Most of all I would take a tool and make some creations.
First I have to finish the Mustang project.

Disaster today. Got the primer on and then dropped it on the slabs ... part of it broke. Stripped it and reassembled, re-primed and put on a coat of fluorescent yellow. Let me tell you it is bright GREEN, not yellow (looked yellow on the test piece). Should I strip or put on an overcoat ... tried metallic white over the top and got a light metallic green. Not chuffed.

I would be tempted to try another over-coat, but covering metallics can be tricky, so I think to be on the safe side and providing the stripping process does not damage any of the preperation work such as filler etc, you ought to strip it and start a fresh.

I agree with Ghosthunter. Your best bet is to strip it down and start anew. A white base will probably give the best results when using fluorescent paint.

I thought I'd have a go at stretching Matchbox's truncated Scenicruiser. I would need two Scenicruisers but it isn't a straightforward slice and splice as the roof lights aren't right either. Real Scenicruisers have narrow roof lights above the first three upper bays but Matchbox widened them and spaced them equidistant. To save too much hassle, I dog legged the roof cut and slipped in an extra over-wide roof light.
The actual Matchbox casting (apart from being too short) is a masterpiece of detail and would not be too difficult to do one in a realistic livery ... the lines are all there.
However, to keep the Matchbox look, I painted mine to match the other Matchbox models.

Thank you. Apart from the fiddling about with the roof, it went together really well. Decals printed on clear decal paper over pre-painted white. Just need a set of nicer wheels now (easily unclipped).
