Since the search function is now working on Lefora, I have been doing some digging, with the following results:
- The gold-trimmed 45a was a Nick Jones variation code 6 or 7, making it 8 x 18 GPW, d/h c/a, no windows, hand-applied trim front and rear. The text suggests three examples known.
- The gold-trimmed 47a was a Nick Jones variation code 2, making it 10 x 24 GPW, d/h c/a, matt black base, small baseplate tongue, trim to headlights only. A single example is known.
Unfortunately, in both cases, the links to the attachments are corrupted, meaning no photographs are available.

Coincidently, I have just finished an e-mail correspondence with a well-known and reputable Ebay dealer. Although he has had gold-trimmed 26a pass through his hands, he has not had either a 14b or a 35a.

...and another!
This time it's a gold-trimmed, green 17a. In terms of the casting, it's the first of the green ones (Nick Jones variation code 7), which means that it follows on directly from the gold-trimmed maroon version.

Well Hugh putting all these trim variations on the open forum
with so many details leaves it for fraudsters to make these variations
and put on the market, as many new collectors would not be able to
tell which is genuine and which is a fake.

Two more:

4a tractor with yellow-hubs. (IMHO, not really an anomalous trim model, but a previously unrecognised issue - see here).

Recently added this 20a Maroon with GPW(Nicks code5) not realising that the trim looks like its gold(middle model), just wondering reading this thread if its a mixture. Definitely not silver but not as Gold as the earlier model.

That's interesting Jason, it does look a weaker colour so it could be a mix of trims in the paint pot. Are the tanks un-trimmed?

Hi John,
The tanks do have some trim left which is the same as the front.

Thanks for that Jason, I thought this rang a bell, do you remember this thread, with the post from ozboxrox near the end of the page?

Thanks John that’s great , does not ring a bell at all. Think I must be losing it or probably all ready lost it. :D
At least I can confirm the variation and you must have a bloody good memory John.
Cheers J
