One variation I hadn't seen before just sold for £180 plus postage .... starting price of a fiver and only four actual bidders.

In fact I have two :D

Jason "Nearlymint" on the forum found one, as well and I know of a couple of others, so they are out there, although few and far between it seems.
Nice to see that another one turned up.

Very nice, Gene - I'm still looking! I wonder if the cabs of yours are paler than the one that was recently sold? Or maybe it's just the light.

Glenn I think it may just be the lighting of the seller's photos.
The color of the cabs on my ones, are consistent with one another. I don't have a K-11 with metallic blue cab and gold trailer to compare them to, but he shade of blue could be described as being somewhere between the 46c Mercedes and 57b Impala

I now have a couple of the military MM2 DAF's .... one with the triangular red and blue No.7 sticker on the cab side and one with the square orange and yellow No.8 on the cab side.
But, how authentic is this one with the circular orange No.1 .... decal, not sticker apparently :o
Is it one to look out for or just someone's Code 3?

Been adding a few more variations of the King Sized DAF's to my collection. Never seen a yellow cab interior before.

I read in one of the "Matchbox" Collector magazines that the MM series (which only consisted of the DAF and the Tanker) were made to test the market before Battle Kings were released.

Here is a blue cab, silver trailer, blue ramp DAF K-11. Damaged, unfortunately- the cab looks like it's been sat on... no sign of any stickers and absolutely no sign of a repaint. I've checked it with a magnifying glass for minute splashes of paint and there are none.

Sorry about the photo size. I have read the guidance but I'm using an iPad and it doesn't appear to have the option of resizing.

I deleted the oversize photos. The stupidly large photos are annoying- both to myself and others.

Thanks for the extra pictures. I think that this base picture shows that it's a prepro and not just a different colour

It's a bit unclear but I think that the front of the cab base has the "(A)" but no cross-hatching - you can see this in zBret's picture here. It also looks like it's bare mazac rather than plated, which is common in prepros.

If it were mine, I'd examine it closely for other casting differences too.
