About the only item of giftware I've never seen boxed, is the black ceramic box with the Bentley or Mercedes on it. Not even a picture.

Both are shown in 1963, 1964 and 1966 trade catalogues but for 1966, Wooden boxes were added to the range so the Black ceramic versions could be deleted from the range in 1967.

I have now!
Not sure about the plain white box, although the label is the same as those on the 2nd type of black and gold box.

Actually both models have small paint chips here and there but generally the condition is quite nice.
Here are pictures of the undersideļ¼

And I noticed that for the silver one, the end of the exhaust pipe was painted red, while the gold one wasn't, if it mean anything..

That's a rear light, not the exhaust. Early painted versions had the rear number plate painted silver, and the red rear light as you show. I would suggest that's a 3rd party addition on your model. Plated models never had painted trim.

Thank's Ritchie for the additional pictures.
As Bob says the plated 'Giftware' models were not detailed with any additional painting and a previous owner has added the Red paint to that rear lamp.
Looking at the base pictures I see they are both from 1968-69 production and the last plated models available before the Y-15 Silver Ghost was deleted from the range.
There are many more earlier versions than those, so if you decide to add to your collection of Y-15 models, you have some more searching to do...

Forum member Gary (''CLOwY''), has asked me if I had pictures of the baseplates for Y-15 Rolls-Royce and I said I had not, so for Gary I will post pictures of models from my collection in the order of issue from Lesney.
The earliest version in my collection (version 1, there, that surprised you!!), is significant because the rear lamp is in Red and the rear index plate is in Silver. The wheel rims are un-braced and in Silver-Grey with dark Grey tyres.

An absolutely stunning looking model. I never get tired of looking at these and with so many variations to chase, that is why I chose ''Ghosthunter'' as my username.

Over many Years of production, the baseplate would receive a number of casting modifications.
Two more models have been found with the same rear detail trimming, shown below.

Version 1, has been shown in the main pictures above.
Version 1A, has the added feature of wheel braces on the inside of one of the wheels, so this shows how soon these braces were being added to models in the range.
Version 1B, has a change of tyre colour, just visible in the picture above where a lighter Grey plastic has been used.
