Very nice Stephan. Neat and clean, I like the tan color choice for the interior as well.

Now why didn't Lesney think of that!
Great bit of work there Stephan.

Anyone arriving here from Mars would think they have stumbled across a bunch of factory colour trials. Great selection Joe. Love the addition of those cross-wire wheel rims, they really do add something sporty to the models.

I pick up models at the dollar stores, just for various parts. I can often find maisto models on sale at two for $1 and thus acquire spare parts at a two for one rate. Some generic models can be had three for $1 at the dollar stores.
Here's a brief list (from memory) of parts acquired off these bargain priced models:
Windscreens.
Dump beds.
Tanks in various shaped from different tankers.
Pipes for the pipe truck (from a copy-cat maisto model).
Wrecker booms & hooks.
Flat, dropside and stakeside truck beds.
Interiors.
Various other sundry parts.

Joe,
I never thought about picking up some of those off brand toys for parts, etc., good idea!

I did a 2 door version of the Matchbox MG many years ago (cant find it now), mainly because I owned a real 2 door version. It involved filing off the door detailing, filing the rear side windows further back and repositioning the B pillar at an angle. A lot of work and I didn't make a particularly good job of it as I recall.
