Malibu´s custom models

Post by Malibu »

Hi,

today I will start this new thread for my custum models.
I´l start with this 50 Cent Zodiac which needs new paint.
Someone overpainted the model with a green felt pen.

Hi,

nothing special - just white, it looked a bit boring so I painted the interior red.

Never thought I would see a Mk IV Zephyr in White and I can honestly say...it works!

Another nice job, I like the contrasting interior.

I think, it should have been a more creamy white. The bright white takes (just like black) to much away of the contours.

Hi,

thanks for your replies.
Maybe once I´ll make a Police car out of the Zodiac than the white is ok.
Thanks for the picture.

Today I´ll show you a model from the other side of the channel.
It is a Opel GT 1900 made by Siku at arround 1970.
I bought it at a fleamarket for 50 Cent.

Look from how many parts this model is made of.

Now it is silver with black bumpers.

Another great well executed restoration and I think finished in a much better colour.

It really is wonderful to see beaters like this being given a new lease of life.
