A parcel arrived at my house this morning at 10:30 am, it was signed for, inspected and given the OK as having arrived safe and sound.
The model inside was brought to my attention by a forum member and after some discussion on why I personally do not buy from Auction sites, it was made clear to me that it was a shop, not an Auction site and would I like it if he were to sort out the details, I said yes, if he did not mind doing the dirty work, so the end result is, I am now the proud owner of another Matchbox 'Superfast' model, one I have been chasing for quite some time.
The model is #24c Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, the conversion from regular wheels to 'Superfast', but with the waistline 'trim-strip' still on the body, this particular example has the smooth open wheels, gloss baseplate and curved hinge-arms in the boot.
It is a 'playworn' model, not quite a 'beater', but I will be posting it there anyway.
