I also managed to get my Lesney page updated as well at http://www.sinanju.ca/lesneypage/lesney.html

Thanks for the links Cam - that's a really good selection of Husky's you've got there - I do like the Ford D artics and don't often see the low-loader complete with shovel. Don't often see the landrover with it's canopy either.

Even with a missing rear door the Transits with blue or yellow seats or any with tinted windows are htf so worth buying anyway if their paint is reasonable.Over here its only 1/3 missing back doors and I always grab beaters with sound back doors to swap over onto nice ones without....
The Huskys should all have white back doors, the change to chemically plated doors came in 1970 just before the switch to Whizzwheels

Thanks for not showing the whizzwheels kind sir - it has a tendency to make me wince. Never has such a fine model been robbed of it's realism by the fitting of such inappropriate wheels, the small Husky wheels suit the Vista so well, as the real thing (Bedford VAS) was fitted with relatively small 16 inch wheels. I'm away to put my bus anorak back in it's closet now :ugeek:

Thanks for the kind comments Ewan. I am slowly upgrading the collection as I find the models so it will always be an on-going project. It was fun researching them although I primarily used Forces's book. There are some that confused me as I cannot find reference to them at all. such as the 44A-3 yellow Raygo Roller. I also found some variations that Force doesn't mention such as the 50A-2 Ferrari 512S with the different coloured interiors. I will continue to research though as that is a lot of the fun of collecting.

Nice collection of Huskys Cam.
About 15 years ago at the Romford toyfair I was lucky enough to find someone selling a collection of Corgi Rockets that looked like they had never been played with, He must have had at least 50 of them, all bright and shiny like they had just been taken out of the blister pack, There was nothing much in the way of Lesneys so I bought all of the Rockets, I still have them and still find the odd piece to add to the collection.

Hi Cam,

Have you looked on this site http://www.chezbois.com/corgi/corgismallscale_home.htm

The guy is really helpful, I found I had a Corgi Juniors BMW M3 that I couldn't find anywhere. I emailed him photos and after checking them out himself he passed them on to a Bill Manzke who wrote a book on Juniors and Huskys for verification. There doesn't seem to be as much info on Huskys as there is on Matchbox so all sources are worth exploring.

Bill Manzke was a member here before we moved the forum. We don't get too many topics on Corgi so theres little reason for him to join again but I'm sure he has many friends among our members, we might see him back one day.
