Husky Buick Electra

Along with the Duple Vista coach this is my favourite Husky, and I've finally got one worth keeping. I know that the beacon is a bit shabby but at least the grille is intact - I disposed of one of the orange 'civilian' Buicks with absolutely flawless paint because around a quarter of the grille had gone. I've seen listings for a light blue version of the police car but have never seen a photo of one - anyone out there got one?

Very nice indeed. First time I got one of the Transits I thought somebody had replaced the rear door with one from another model.

I think 9 out of 10 of Husky Transits I see at toyfairs are missing the back door.

These are the Electra's I have managed to find. Also, my Transit Van does have the rear door, but it is white. I also have the blue Corgi Junior Transit Van, but the rear door is unfinished metal so I don't know if it is a replacement. It works almost too well for an aftermarket one.

The Husky Transit came fitted with an unpainted metal door, I don't know if replacements have been made

I was sure that the Husky Transit I had was fitted with a white back door and my initial impression was that someone had done it at home. It wasn't until I'd done quite a lot of internet searching that I realised they were all like that. Still haven't seen an example of the light blue Buick referred to in my 'Model Price Guide' but I'll keep searching.

My blue transit has an unpainted back door,they all seem to have come with it,my red and yellow transits have a white door....
