Hi Ian

No not from Nigel. They are from Maurice Wooleys collection via his nephew.

Is the ramp likely to be a Crescent Toy?

Seller posted this quickly so here they are:

Lesney Covered Wagon

Dinky AA Motorbike and Side car. It is what I was hoping being prewar. Unfortunately the tyres on these don't last, they usually flat spot and in this instance 1/4 of the front wheel is missing.

Much more detailed painting than the post war versions

Dinky Copy Daily Mail Car. This had domed / badly peened axle ends so I have replaced the axles.

Tootsietouy UHaul Truck

Lincoln Ambulance

Crescent (?) Ramp / Hoist

With Tootsietoys Tanker

Train Stuff. Loco is FunHo with NZR labels. The other items all have two piece tin wheels and look to be slush cast. The guards van is significantly heavier than the other pieces and may be lead.

Timpo Pumps

Other stuff

Kay's Key ready to go

Finally, a surprise. The seller included another Tootsietoy and some french Dinky signs

I have an Opel Kapitän, including the instructions and the remains of the box - but the key is still missing!.....(knudge, knudge!! :) )
You can see the key pictured at the box, behind the Opel name at the second picture

Hey Kay

It's yours! Happy to send it to you. PM me your address and I will get it on its way when it arrives.

Cheers

Dave
Hi Dave,

thank you for this generous offer - I will gladly take the key for my car!
I will try to get the model running, I hope it works.....
There are a couple of little switches that make the car run in a circle, or an eight, or other shapes.

Thanks again
Kay

P.S. PM sent.....

That has turned into a right box of treasures! some hard to find branded models in there, great find. The Blue car service ramp is not DCMT or Crescent, they each have a straight lifting arm. It could be from 'KEMLOWS', they did not always brand their products because Kemlow was a producer of toys for other companies to market. Ian from 'ToysNZ' may be able to help with this as I think he has a book on Kemlow.

Interestingly, as an engineering company they are still in business!

That's right... Maurice's collection is one I follow on TM - just got the sellers mixed up (getting old)... Tony occasionally puts up bits I'm interested in but lately it has mostly been Solido, Verem, etc - more modern than I'm looking for. The ramp is likely to be Crescent or DCMT - sometimes marked , most often not. Is the Airmail car marked as a DG??

Currently at work but will follow this up tonight when I get home - the Kemlows book is one of a few I DON'T have a second copy of at work! :D

Dave,

the little metal policeman arrived last Friday - so I finally was able to complete my Prämeta Opel Kapitän set!

Last weekend I went to an auction and found a brother for my green model, the chromed version of the car.
The price for it stayed in my range, so I couldn't resist buying it.

Now they are sharing their key from New Zealand

Thank you so much, Dave!!!!

Lovely pair of models Kay. You do see more 'Chromed' versions of those models rather than the coloured models but you are very lucky in now having both and its great to see them with the key, thank you for showing them.

Those are really neat looking models and so nice that you could obtain an original key.
