Another diverse lot

Dinky Air Mail car is likely a copy, condition is just too good, AA motorbike and sidecar looks original and may be pre war...given the white tyres ..train is maybe a Fun Ho and probably a repaint. Ramp looks in good condition...manufacturer?Looking forward to discovering the makers on the more obscure items.

Re: Another diverse lot
A nice mixed collection, well done. The covered wagon with red barrels is a great find, always a hard one to find.

Re: Another diverse lot
Great lot. Lots of fun models.
Re: Another diverse lot
The policeman figurine actually is a key for a 1:35 scale wind-up car made in Germany by Prämeta back in the 50's.
5 different cars were made: a Jaguar XK 120, a Buick Roadmaster, a VW 1200 Beetle, an Opel Kapitän and a Mercedes 300 D - and all of them are heavy like a brick!
I have an Opel Kapitän, including the instructions and the remains of the box - but the key is still missing!.....(knudge, knudge!! )
You can see the key pictured at the box, behind the Opel name at the second picture

I agree. Friendships built up within a forum such as this is wonderful and as soon as Kay has His key, he will want to show us with it alongside the Prameta Opel, won't you Kay...

Spotted these myself (Nigel's auction?) - Only three pieces I wanted so opted out - Lincoln Ambulance, ramp, and Dinky Copy of the Airmail Car (Nigel has had a number of copies up on TM recently - they may be Dinky Club or PP Copy Models items - can't really tell from the ones I have obtained from him). The little truck might be Lonestar, Barclays, or Tootsietoy. covered wagon could be Benbros or Lesney.RSSierra wrote:Dinky Air Mail car is likely a copy, condition is just too good, AA motorbike and sidecar looks original and may be pre war...given the white tyres ..train is maybe a Fun Ho and probably a repaint.
