Some very interesting hobbies I have enjoyed your posts guy's and glad I started it

Stephan I love the boats, a man where I live has some very similar to those and he takes them to our local park lake

Also love the slot machines Pete and I don't think it's strange, I'm glad there are people out who restore things and makes use of them again.

Great to see people who have interesting hobbies

I collect antique toys as well. Anything child related sparks my interest.

for me, I barely have time for this hobby. My entire collection is in boxes as I don't have the time to renovate an office space in the basement to display my toys. :(
Between work, keeping up with the house chores and my 2 kids (school work, gymnastics, soccer, swimming...) I still manage to keep buying more though :P

My top hobby is collecting Actionman , I also like real old cars, I finally managed to get myself A Humber Hawk :D . I have 2 series3 landrovers and a 77 Sherpa camper (needs a lot of repairs).
I would like to collect anything that is old but money restricts it and I have to sell things on :( . When i win the lottery I will have a Toy and transport Museum

All your hobbies are very interesting to hear about, someone suggested I put some photos up of the coins I collect, so I have taken some pictures of random one's if anyone is interested.

All these coins shown are silver of different purity...0.900 to 0.999 and weigh between half and 1 troy oz, I do have a few gold coins...sovereigns etc..but I don't have them to hand as I have them elsewhere for safer storage.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Thank's Lee, I imagine this is another very absorbing hobby with limited editions and rare editions. Do you get them form coin shows or just ebay type sites.

I'd like to collect British coins but they won't stay in my pockets long enough...

Hi Ghosthunter and thankyou for resizing the photos, and yes it is very absorbing.

I get alot from ebay and different trader's from around the UK, Europe, Germany and Australia mainly, and yes you get rare and limited editions coins, but alot of coins are graded on their condition and the mintage of the coin, how many are made in other words, often the lower the better with the type I collect, things like that effect the value of them.

The 8 coins together are from the Australian lunar series and as you may have noticed are the Chinese zodiac animals, I have got to wait a few more years to complete this set as only one is brought out each year, these coins are very popular with collectors and silver stackers.

Thankyou for looking.

One coin a Year, Hmm, sounds a bit familiar with us waiting for the right model variations to come along... :D

I had not considered there were other images put on coins apart from heads of state and Royalty so that was a nice surprise to see the Animals. I could have easily got into coin collecting as when a Child, a friend of my Family gave me an old Biscuit tin of coins for me to play with, which I did, but the collecting bug was not in me at that time and thinking back, I have no idea what finally happened to them, I bet I could find some of them in all my old stuff in storage...
