Hi kwakers,
I do not have any 9 and 10 codes without the brace.

Thanks Jason, perhaps we will find a code where this new base began it's first use. OR, perhaps code 8 or 9 could be found with either base casting? We shall see as we all check our variations on our 9Bs....kwakers

My code 9 also has the brace. No code 10's lying around here to check...
Cheers,

I have checked my models and I can confirm the Jason´s variation with the side brace on the base plate by the code 9 and 10.

I have found the brace on the code 7 with MW ø8,5x18 also (but I have not code 8 with side brace).

So the next question may be, for what purpose was this brace added so late in the castings life? For strength/stability or for alignment? Theories anyone?

Maybe an interior was being developed for this model and they are locators for it!
