btw Ghosty, on the 44b page, the second image shows an spw and a gpw model both sitting on boxes. Are the wheels different diameters?

Thank's John, in the hand it is very noticable but it helps when you keep all these variations in your head so when looking at models at toy fairs etc, it is easier to spot such treasures, (I think if you stand close enough you can hear my brain ticking and humming as it goes through all the specifications for each model I collect...!).

In the listing it says...

9 x 24, SPW, these are hard to find.
9 X 24, GPW, these are not too common.

...and then...

10 x 36, BPW, these are very common.

But my GPW wheels are 8 x 24, not 9 x 24, so they are the same size as the 8 x 24 BPW wheels I have just found!

The two models you mention in that Second picture do appear to have Two wheel sizes, the SPW looking smaller, more like the 8 x 24 GPW on my models. I am afraid I do not yet own any models with the Silver Plastic Wheels, so can not confirm a size for you.

Thanks Ghosty, they do look different, it may be an optical illusion though. I'll have to dig mine out and check them.

Lets just hope you have not made one into your 'Code 3' versions... :o

Ghosty.

Kevin, having checked my 30 44B's there is none like yours.

Sorry Ghosty, but there are no ø8x24 wheels, not GPW or SPW or BPW. There are only wheels ø9x24 which are used and have a smaller diameter.

I think I have to agree with you Antonin, re-checking my wheels they could be 8.5 or 9 mm, I don't have a Micrometer and not sure one could be made to fit around the wheel.

I made the mistake of rounding them down to 8 x 24 when using a steel ruler, but will now stay with the 9 x 24 size for this hard to find variation, a big thank you for pointing that out.
