#44B Phantom V.
I had my Eye on this variation when 'Harvey's Matchbox' was selling an example mint in box for about £125. This was clearly outside my budget, so when the example shown below turned up at the Beaulieu Autojumble this past Weekend, I jumped on it and would not let it go at any price!
The special feature are the wheels, it has the 8 x 24 BPW wheels, not the usual 10 x 36 BPW and priced at just £7 (£5 to me!), was a bargain.
The front bumper is of the 'High' type, but it does not have the rear blocks, it does not have the rear strengthening brace for the baseplate tab.
The fact 'Harvey's' has had one and now I have one, confirms it is a viable variation.

That is very interesting stuff. I will look into my own 44b's and see what I have.

Lets just hope you have not made one into your 'Code 3' versions...Ecclesley wrote:That is very interesting stuff. I will look into my own 44b's and see what I have.

Thank's Alex, that's nice coming from someone who has only recently dipped his Toe back into 'RW' models...

Thank's Peter, I never expected to see one in the flesh so to speak, so I am very happy to find it.

That's a great find Ghosty, I'm pleased you've added something very unusual to that huge forecourt of Rollers. What does it look like in the hand? because when I've looked at my 9x24's in the past, I've always thought how noticeable the size difference seems, compared with the 10x36's. Sounds daft I know
