Thanks for this, I do need the help! Is it possible to buy the glass for this as I cannot find a supplier...also is the wicker a transfer? I should have waited a bit longer for a response but being new to the forum I was not sure of the best way to reach people its a relief that I am getting a response though

You may find something useful. I don't personally know if there are replacement glazing components for the Corgi Mini, however, if you go to toy fairs, you may well be able to buy another beater model Mini just for the glazing.

I had the 'Peter Sellars' Mini when it first came out brand new, but I can not remember now, if the 'Wickerwork' side panels were labels or screen printed, whatever I say now what my gut feeling is, it will turn out to be the opposite, so for now all I can say is I don't really know, sorry for that.

I will certainly look at the link and will probably try to find a donor car. I had not actually thought of mixing parts (doh!). I had this model as a child and bought this one at a car boot because of that....then I realised that I could not remember the colour of it! Thanks for the help this is a great trip down memory lane and is turning into a (1/43 scale) detective adventure.

Just found this on the net and it looks like they are really thin vynil based sticky panels. The wheels by the way are the earlier version than those on your example.

I was going to add to my comment " Ghosty would know for sure ". You never cease to amaze me Ghosty with your knowledge on these matters. Quite confusing to the average bean all these Corgi numbers for what is basically the same model 226, 227, 249,whats up with that??? all these numbers for one model type.

Thanks for the link zBret, I will purchase today! Also I have to agree with you on the numbering of Corgi models-I am totally lost...as for looking on ebay for spares it had never even occurred to me to do that!
