Sorry, but i dont buy this guys,
All of a sudden an SF#19 matchbox promo purporting to be 40 years old, for a Doughnut company (probably American....which is confusing considering it's a british racing car) turns up in DENMARK (even more confusing, where's the connection?), no other examples have ever been seen or even talked about in collector circles or on Matchbox forums to my knowledge, and yet the general concensus appears to be that it's the real deal.
It just doesn't add up.

It adds up perfectly. Rivits plus paint plus sticky tape. Paint appears to be a perfect match for the yellow version of the #12 Setra coach.

Mick, yes of coarse the sticky tape is the clincher,
With the greatest of respect, just because you say it's the real deal doesnt mean we should all accept that opinion.
It is utterly inconceivable that this so called promo has been around for over 40 years with no mention of it in any matchbox circles until now!!!
C'mon seriously, let's see another example of this promo!!

I havent shown the other stuff I bought yet!
I will email the Yum Yum company, an American friend on FB has told me tonight that when he was a kid there was a low budget version of Mars Bar made by Yum Yum with rust coloured letters on a yellow background which if confirmed by email from the Yum Yum company will be enough for me given that the other stuff from the collection this car came from.

Sorry Mick but why haven't we heard of this promo before?? Better watch this american friend of yours is not producing these promo's in his garage!!
Again i ask you where are the other examples in existance???????????????
What a successful promo this must have been???
This must have been a mighty success for the "YUM YUM" company, seeing as these promo's are so common place.
Not convincing in the slightest Mick.
Cant wait to see your other stuff!!! Dont tell me .....Is it more promos we have never heard of before in over 4 decades????

The crazy Scot dina read my words or has hiz account been possesed by Christine

- purchased for 15dkr £1.60 from a Danish toy dealer who has supplied me with some amazing cars in the past 15 years including the gpw 44b yesterday at the same time also from his beater box.He specialises in buying old collections and is nationally known on our toy scene. Apart from a cream spw 14c none of my other buys are rare Lesneys. The information about Yum Yum bars came from a Facebook request for info, that guy knows nothing about diecasts,he is an American musician who likes to eat American food.

Why not ask them about the promotional racing car instead (or even as well)?

Comparing me to Christine??, well that is a new one, and one that i take as a personal insult, I may have misread your post but to throw mud like that is just not on, thanks Mick.
I still recon that i have some justification in not rolling out the bunting too early. Deep down i hope this is the real deal as it would make it one of the rarest SF's to be found in recent years however i dont see what is wrong with asking for some proof to support the theory that this is a genuine promo. We would as a forum expect any new find to have its authenticity tested thoroughly and commented upon prior to any one giving it the thumbs up.
