Buying online for me is never as much fun as our local fleamarkets, today is one of the big 4 of the year. Sometimes beater boxes contain gems - 15dkr each for this pair, circa £1.70

I have previously seen the brand name ´Yum Yum´ in an old Elmore Leonard novel - cant remember if its Mexican or North American brand and cant explain how it got to Denmark however the seller also offered me 12 mint box made in France ´´Champion´´ Le Mans racers from circa 1970 from the same old collection

Finding this made my heart jump -small scale find of the year for me ! Proper white primer under yellow candycoat -nothing dodgy looking at all.Printed brand tape is typical 1970s

cool find...i like the gpw rolls too!
Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.

It's great to see something new, excellent finds! A little googling shows a few Yum Yum brands, the one Nick mentioned and a Canadian company who sold crisps (potato chips) seem to be more prominent.

Thinking about it, I find it staggering that what appears to have been a promotional (= lots of publicity, significant numbers of models produced) can have remained under the radar for over forty years.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying it's a fake. Far from it. it looks 100% genuine and Mick's obviously very happy with it (at all levels), but are we missing something here? How is this possible?

How about it being one of a trial batch for a promotion which never actually happened (c.f. 29d Racing Mini in gold)?

Very nice to see the Yum Yum donuts logo, thanks Nick :) . Colour is right,I bet this was made for that company but how on earth it got to Denmark in a collection of race cars I dont know.If they made one they made more, but who knows how many more, given to employees or important customers??
