Lot 1617 Dinky Toys - January 16th, 2008 Dinky Pre-war 1938/40 Gift Set Commercial Motor Vehicles containing 6 Vehicles including - No.25B Covered Wagon - orange body, tan tin tilt, black chassis, tyres and smooth hubs. No.25D Petrol Tank Wagon "Pool" - type 2, grey body, cream chassis, black tyres and smooth hubs. No.25E Market Gardener's Lorry - type 2, green body, black chassis, tyres and smooth hubs. No.25F Tipping Wagon - maroon cab, yellow back, black chassis, black tyres and smooth hubs (radiator has been silvered). No.25G Trailer - violet blue, cast in hook, tinplate drawbar, black tyres and smooth hubs and No.25H Streamlined Fire Engine - red body, no tinplate chassis, red tinplate ladder, white tyre, smooth red hubs. Vehicles have little or no fatigue and vary from Fair to Good Plus in Fair to Good box with blue grained lid and picture label, with mauve original insert. Very scarce Set. No.25C Flat Truck - violet blue, black smooth hubs, missing rear hook - some fatigue distortion to back. No.25D Petrol Tank Wagon "Esso" - green body, "Esso" transfer in gold with black edging, smooth black hubs - fatigue damage to rear of tank (piece missing nearside rear wheel, No.25E Tipping Wagon - maroon cab, yellow back, smooth black hubs, missing rear hook, some fatigue curvature to chassis and No.25F Market Gardener's Van - green, smooth black hubs, little fatigue. Condition varies from Fair to Good Plus in Fair to Good box coded A1052 with white label to end in blue grained box lid with colour label and is later "larger" size with reproduction insert. No.25D Petrol Tank Wagon "Mobiloil" - red body, "Mobiloil" transfer blue on white, smooth black hubs - some fatigue damage to chassis and rear of Tank. No.25D Petrol Tank Wagon - red, no "Petrol" to sides, black tyres, early chromed hubs, some fatigue causing minor distortion.
