Lot 48 The 5th Avenue Collection - March 10th, 2008 Dinky Pre-war No.28N Delivery Van "Meccano" Type 1 with Dinky Toys embossed to underside of cab roof - all yellow body, "Meccano Engineering For Boys" (Meccano in red and gold) - "Engineering For Boys" in black, dark blue washed solid metal wheels. A few blemishes but overall Excellent to Excellent Plus. A lovely example of one of the rarer and more desirable of these early promotional models - very hard to find in this sort of condition. Lot 1133 Dinky Toys - August 11th, 2004 No.28n 1st type Delivery Van, lead body, tinplate radiator surround, pale yellow, "Meccano Engineering for Boys" to sides, significant wear to transfers particularly to one side but "Meccano" is legible, one rear axle securing tab damaged but present, rear axle is bent but wheels are coloured pale yellow, model would benefit from careful cleaning - still a rare item in any condition.
