Morestone Miniatures or "Esso Petrol Pump" series 5-8

Number 5 was the Wolseley Six-Eighty Police car which had a black painted body with a seperately die cast silver painted baseplate which had the model details cast in. Fixed to the roof were a pair of seperately die cast sirens. The grille and headlights were silver trimmed.

The wheels were die cast metal on crimped axles, Later grey or black plastic wheels on rounded axles were used. It was made from 1956-70

Number 6 was the Cooper Bristol racing car, It had a french blue body with a seperate white baseplate which had the driver cast on the top and the model details cast in on the underneath, The grille, exhaust system and fuel filler cap enhanced with silver trim

The wheels were die cast metal with silver painted centers, They were mounted on steel axles with crimped ends. It was made from 1956-58

Number 7 was the Mercedes Benz racing car which had a silver body and seperately cast red painted baseplate which included the driver as part of the casting and model details embossed on the underneath. Being as the body was silver painted it did not have silver trim

The wheels were die cast metal mounted on steel axles with crimped ends. It was made from 1956-65

Number 8 was the Volkswagen saloon car or beetle as it is more commonly known. The model had a steel blue body and a seperately cast silver painted baseplate which included the model details and the bumpers as part of the casting. It usually has orange headlights and red tail lights.

The wheels were die cast metal mounted on axles with crimped ends, Later grey and black plastic wheels were also used. It is one of the more common pieces from the range. It was made from 1956-70
