For a brief History of the DCMT Lone Star Company see the section on DCMT Lone Star Locos. This range was first made in 1969 and marketed as "Tuf Tots", later the name was changed to "Mokes". The Trucks were to a scale of 1/118 and the Cars 1/86, about the same size as the first series Lesney toys. There were 13 different Trucks, all using the same USA Ford Cab and there were 4 different Cars, At first the Cars were fitted with a driver. Later the Driver was omitted and a closed convertible roof was fitted instead. Not shown are #603 Corvette and #605 Mercedes. Also not shown are #613 Speed Boat, #624 Fire Engine, #625 Caravan and #627 Earth Mover. Tuf Tots had black plastic wheels, Mokes had red. The toys in the pictures are slightly larger than actual size.
