Hello from South Africa

Post by Fiat1500 »

Hi all VBD members!
My name is Neil and I am posting from South Africa. I have been collecting random model cars in different makes and scales. I got hooked onto Lesney Matchbox cars when I bought a mint white Ford Mustang with original box at a toy fair, and from there on its Matchbox only now! Thank you Nick for accepting me on your forum, and I have learnt a lot regarding Matchbox Lesney toys. My last purchase this month was a Ford Corsair with grey wheels and a Bedford tipper truck also with grey wheels. Thanks and kind regards! Neil

Hi Neil, Can I wish you a very warm welcome to the forum.
We're all Matchbox collectors here but most of us also collect other ranges from other manufacturers, How about showing us some photo's of your collection.
Nick Jones.

Hello Neil, that goes with-out saying welcome to a great site and many great collectors. :) :)

I cannot compete with the lions, but we have a lot of kangaroos, although not in the main streets, ;)

Wouldn't have been too far fetched - used to be plenty Wallabies roaming around North Staffordshire part of the Peak District - anyone know if they're still there?
