This poor guy arrived as just the body shell. No headboard, no base and no axles or wheels. The headboard and the base are resin castings. Axles and wheels are from my spare parts bin and I don't remember where the decals came from. I had the thing all put together and done when I had a startling realization ... it was missing the center pillar in the windshield! I had to put in the center pillar on a finished model and then paint the new pillar! Oh brother, how did I miss that until I was ready to photograph the finished product? Old age I guess
After I posted the pics, I noticed I never polished the axles ... yet another step completed entirely in the wrong order (LOL) but it does look better now.

Another great looking model. Whenever I'm tempted to biff all my broken down wrecks I think "One day I'll have a go at doing some more restorations." Certainly an inspiration to make good use of the scrap yard.

Excellent! I’ve always liked the Bedford CA (I was given my uncle’s metal-wheeled 25a at the age of 3, and I’ve still got it!). Later versions (like this one from 1966 or 67) were made with a one-piece screen, so missing out the centre pillar wouldn’t be too awful.

Thats a nice one done out of nearly nothing.
Do you have a pic from the baseplate?

The front rivet was way over drilled (or damaged) by whom ever took the model apart. I had to build that rivet post up with some glue just to adhere the new base plate at the plate/post junction. Here is a pic of the base plate being fitted (as I'm sizing up what I need to do to get the plate on the model). If you look at the rivet post, what's left of it seems to be drilled out. Perhaps the drill bit was a little over size and/or blew out the side of the rivet post (thus ruining most of the top half of the rivet post). Maybe that's when they gave up on the model and tossed in the scrap bin.
