Can one swap the seat backs from one car to the other without disassembly of the car?
Yes, by gently forcing the rear of the seat squab upwards enough to allow the retainer on the bottom of the seat back to pass by the metal support, but you need to be careful because the narrow plastic retainer that runs the width of the seat back at the bottom, may be a bit brittle due to age and you may break it away which means the seat back then becomes lose and won't stay in position very well.
