None of the NAMC’s “Catalog of all Series Matchbox Models” (second edition), the AIM's “1-75 Series Regular Wheels” catalogue (second printing, 1983), Stannard, or Leake ("Concise Catalogue of 75 Series Matchbox Toys by Lesney" (4th edition, reprinted 2006)) lists any variation not already catalogued by Nick. However, Hougton lists the side-label variations (his variation codes 11a-11 and 11a-12 corresponding to Nick's variations codes 10 and 11 respectively) as both carrying a 10 mm diameter decal on the rear. I think this is a cataloguing error by Houghton. Does anyone have such a model with three decals?
U.K. Matchbox examined the model in vol. 3 no. 8 (Oct. '79) p145 but did not identify any new variations.

I've had the side decal model (some playwear) for about 15 years. NO rear decal or signs of one.

How does the 'dull orange red' compare to the 6a cab?
