11c Jumbo Crane

The NAMC’s “Catalog of all Series Matchbox Models” (second edition) has an open-jib, all-yellow model with smaller front wheels as variation 11-3c. Since no one else lists this variation and the small rear-wheel model is missing from their table, I believe this to be a typo (unless any Member can demonstrate otherwise).
The AIM's “1-75 Series Regular Wheels” catalogue (second printing, 1983) does not appear to list any new variations, but it is impossible to be certain since although three different jib web configurations are illustrated, the table only lists 'open' and 'closed'.
Neither Stannard nor Houghton list any variation not already catalogued by Nick.
U.K. Matchbox did not examine the model.

There are some unlisted variations (as usual :D ). The first unlisted variation is by the code 1 with BPW ø12x45. There are two types of the BPW ø12x40.
a) with smooth inner face
b) with concave inner face

Thanks Brad for checking it. It would be interesting to know which variation is rarer and whether it is bound to a certain location.

The variations 3-6 are little bit strange. It was supposed that there is only one variation (with large opening). The variation with smaller BPW ø11,5x45 must be longer in production, because I have models with large and small opening in the upper part of the jib.

I have recently noticed that some late issues of this model (red weight box, closed crane jib holes and front brace on jib - i.e. jib casting E only) have a plastic hydrosleeve in a much lighter, brighter shade of red than all others. Very noticeable when viewed side by side.

In my humble opinion this should be catalogued.
