Hello fellow collectors,
here we have a SF 45 A Ford Group 6 in rare flat green. Item no. is: 162349768152
The seller is well known.
A few years ago i bought several matchbox cars from him for good money. Especially three Brazilian. Because he has the same name as a forum member, i bought the cars. Last time i saw a Brazilian Beach Hopper at nick_*** ebay shop, now i know my beach hopper is from him. So I think the rare cars i bought from this seller are fakes. What do you think about the flat green treasure or the other rarities.
For myself I have to check my cars even the standard models I've bought from him.
Sven

Hi Sven,

In my opinion, the Ford is original, if overpriced.

However, I personally wouldn't buy from this seller after seeing a number of dubious models from him over the years. Sorry to hear that you may have picked up a few of these.

Cheers

I think the Ford is also genuine. Whilst expensive, do you know of another one for sale cheaper?
I also have this seller down as someone not to buy from.

Seller bought this Ford in a group lot so I am happy this one is genuine but I would be very careful when buying any model from this seller.
Sven maybe you can contact him if you are not happy, were the models bought a long time ago.

Yes Fixer the rear rivet makes my stomach grumble, but maybe it is genuine.

As I said this was years ago and such a crap I gave him 100% positive feedback.
At this time i didn't know it better.
Maybe we should open a thread for fakes to prevent other unexperianced collectors from buying such items.

Caution is required Sven as you could leave yourself open to a tidy law suit without good evidence to support such claims that someone is selling fakes.

You're right Alex, given to my bad english I cant find the right words.
What i mean is, we should show pictures of real fakes, as you know I bought some fakes in error.
I think the Ford can be genuine.
This topic should be closed and deleted now, hope you can do so.

That's not a bad idea, having a thread where (suspected) fakes can be shown and their shortcomings highlighted.

Have a sticky section named 'The Black Museum' where past known fakes can be shown, names, ebay user names etc, etc can be held.
