I do like those, they lend themselves nicely to that sort of custom build, thank's for bringing the pictures to the forum Roland.

That's a super nice job. It's very difficult to get hand detailing to come out that well. It takes a fine brush and a steady hand. I also wonder where he borrowed those wheels, I'd love to get some of those for future projects. I wonder if that's some of my friend Andy's handywork?

Joe, these customs are made by a guy named Matthias Elbert from Germany.
The wheels are from Herpa. They produce highly detailed 1:87 cars and trucks.

I have from the mid 90's about 30 of the DTM cars made by Herpa what caught my attention
was amount of tampo print on them i also have about 60 trucks not Herpa but all 1:87

I must have around 800 Mercedes cars and trucks in 1:87 and they mostly are from herpa. But i stopped collecting in the mid 90ies due to the rising prices.

Yes it was the prices that stopped me collecting them especily the private collection trucks.
But for quality and detail they were by far the best, i have a recovery truck which has the slide down
bed and that is on a 1:87 truck.
Another firm which may be of use to Tinman could be Kibri.
