Latest projects in the works

Post by Tinman »

Here's an old 30c crane truck I'm converting into a Soviet era mobile missile launcher.

Next is a 12b that is getting a new windscreen. The new windscreen came from part of a YY windscreen that came in a box of misc pieces/parts.

Always thought the crane looked like a soviet military item when viewing videos of the military parades.

Can't wait to see it finished.

I think the misile launcher will be a very nice model when it is finished.
The windscreen of the land Rover could be turned down as well.
Just a Suggestion.

Stephan

PS: is the Faun a model of an real ecxisting crane truck?

It's always struck me as quite Russian looking, a bit like a MAZ 357/537

Trying to decide if I should make the Missile olive drab or leave it red. I'm leaning towards red, but still thinking about it. Oh yeah, the safety lights had to go bye bye.

There are some pictures of Fauns on this page:

With some fantasy there are cabins which could somehow match with the Matchbox Faun.
I willl post a picture of the Matchbox model there and see if somebody can say anything about it.

I would have the missile olive drab Joe, this vehicle would not want to be seen in the real world, hiding under camouflage netting until it was needed. I big red missile would make it obvious to overhead reconnaissance.
