All Winners Gift Set - how many variations?
Hello dear all,
I am wondering which cars finally were used in the variations of the Corgi Toys All Winner Gift Set.
Was the 261 ever used or is this a fame?
Which colour variations of the Corvette were in use?
Best regards
Wolfgang

I know of...
Yellow with Red interior.
Champagne with Yellow interior.
Red with Yellow interior.
For the #310 Chevrolet Corvette.
I am not aware of model #261 (James Bond Aston Martin DB5), being used in this set, but you can never be sure what models were to hand during production and a model could be placed in the set to complete order numbers, similar to car transporter sets with the Saint's Volvo, very strange but they exist.

Hello,
as far as I know there was a first issue, the "GS46" and a re-issue, "GS45" with the DB5 included...

There are twi different All Winners sets - nos. 45 and 46.
GS 45 contained the DB5 and was more expensive than the 46.

Thank's Peter for the proof in pictures. The fact they have had labels printed for this purpose says it all. Was this a shortage of the Jaguar or surplus stocks of the Aston Martin and this was one way of moving them.

Re: All Winners Gift Set - how many variations?
Surely if there were surplus stocks of the Aston Martin and the idea was to shift them, then it would have been a strange marketing ploy to charge a higher price for the Giftset with the Aston.
Re: All Winners Gift Set - how many variations?
The DB5 was still a best-seller in 1966 and produced until 1968, so certainly not put into the set to shift slow-moving stock. And of course the set containing the expensive DB5 with the gadgets was higher priced than the similar set with a standard car.
The All Winners sets weren't made to get rid of old stock. Cars like the Ferrari 250 LM, Mustang and Marcos were all produced until at least 1969, with the E-Type and Sting Ray being the only ones that were phased out in 1967. Despite this the Mustang and Marcos were replaced in 1967 with the newer Olds Toronado and MGB, and the Sting Ray with the customized Sting Ray which was produced until 1969. The contents of those sets were all current and good selling models, no obsolete stuff included. "All Winners" ...
And also the car transporter sets didn't contain some random models to get rid of surplus stock - while the Saint Volvo was certainly a strange choice to include in those sets the Saint was obviously planned to be included as it is shown in the artwork. It was not put in some sets coincidentally but included in every set, and some cars - like the orange MGC - were even specially painted for the car transporters.

Re: All Winners Gift Set - how many variations?
Hello,
does that mean, all GS45 in reality are relabeled GS46 - no "real" GS 45 does exist?
Best regards

Re: All Winners Gift Set - how many variations?
Yes, I think proper boxes were only printed for the GS 46 and then just stickers applied on the few (9,000) GS 45 boxes. But that doesn't make the GS 45 any less "real" ...

Hello,
(Except the GS45) there must be two versions of the GS46:
Original one plus one with modified GS46 sticker including the MGB.
Are quantities known?
Best regards
