Chitty, Chitty and the fine mechanics
Chitty, Chitty and the fine mechanics
My first and greatest love were and are Matchbox models and especially Regular Wheels, but my second great love are Corgi models (I am polygamist
). I've always been fascinated by the fine mechanics by Corgi models, that added models some various properties such as eg. automatic flip-out wings. When I saw this model on the picture for the first time, I was about 9-10 years, I could not imagine it and did not believe it could exists and really works. Now I am older
and it exists and it works

I really love it, Ghosty, but unfortunatelly I had not so much time to select and find the variations as by Regular wheels. I think that the variations by Corgi models are not so detailed described as by Matchbox models and there is a lot of work for us.

Re: Chitty, Chitty and the fine mechanics
Hi Antonin. I find it just as much fun searching out the variations on Corgi (and Dinky) as I do on Matchbox and in some cases I am sure there are just as many to find.
Good luck with your continued collecting of the Corgi and Matchbox models.

Until now I could always smile a little at those crazy Matchbox collectors
Re: Chitty, Chitty and the fine mechanics
I took a Chitty apart to do a resto on it (never got one and still in bits somewhere) - it really is a clever mechanism to make it all work and great designing.
Re: Chitty, Chitty and the fine mechanics
Thanks Ghosty, Stephan, c007rgi. In advance I would like to warn you. This virus (search for new variations) is highly virulent and contagious, it's much worse than Ebola. Please look at the poor RW-collectors, infected with this virus. There is no rescue for them, no antibiotics, no vaccinations, no radiation .... they are lost for ever. They will run and hobble with a magnifying glass and look for new variations to the end of their life . I warned you ....cOO7rgi wrote:![]()
Until now I could always smile a little at those crazy Matchbox collectorssearching for the tiniest variations - but I fear once you show your different Corgis I will find myself looking for different ejector rings.
