Re: Matchbox Catalogues
Looks like a comprehensive collection Steve, thank's for bringing them to the forum and creating a decent thread for them.
We do not have a specific thread for these, not sure why it has not been done before, so please everybody with catalogue pictures, questions or general enquiries, can we post them in here, thank's.

I had been wondering whether we needed an area specifically for (paper) ephemera....GHOSTHUNTER wrote:Looks like a comprehensive collection Steve, thank's for bringing them to the forum and creating a decent thread for them.

I would vote for it, as I'm a keen paperwork collector, too!Idris wrote: I had been wondering whether we needed an area specifically for (paper) ephemera....
Btw.: The best database for Matchbox leaflets and catalogs of all kinds can already be found in the Matchboxforum (by John Nijhuis, who's a a member here, too):

This is definitely an amazing work!!

Re: Matchbox Catalogues
Not a bad idea Hugh. A lot of Matchbox model collectors also have a side collection of catalogues, I like to collect die cast reference books and have a nice wee library of research material relating to many different manufacturers. So it would be interesting to see what obscure catalogues, sales pamphlets and books our members have out there.Idris wrote:I had been wondering whether we needed an area specifically for (paper) ephemera....GHOSTHUNTER wrote:Looks like a comprehensive collection Steve, thank's for bringing them to the forum and creating a decent thread for them.

Re: Matchbox Catalogues
I think it's a good idea. As well as catalogues and so on, we've seen things like invoices, scale drawings, even old photos in the past, so it would be useful to have these in one place.
