Looking for up to 6 white plastic ladder units for the 35c Merryweather preferably in very good condition. Have a MIB unit with no ladder, two with a broken ladder and a friend is also looking for a ladder for a nice unboxed one he has.

The original White ladders fitted to #35 Merryweather 'Fire Engine' was modified and fitted to the Y-6 Rolls-Royce 'Fire Engine' in 1977, but it had changed to Orange then Brown. In 1983 this ladder set went back to White, but while they will fit the Merryweather, they are not identical and will always be ladders from a 'Yesteryear' model.

Well, I do not see a difference.

The ladders which were fitted to the later twinpack issues of the 35c are identical with the Y-6-D ladders as far as I can tell - after all they were produced during the same time period. They feature extensions at the end which are not present on those ladders fitted to the earlier single issues of 35c:



Ladders with extensions would not be correct for single issues of 35c (with the number 35 cast on the base), but they are perfectly OK for twinpack issues (without the number on the base).

(Sorry I do not have any ladders to spare. In fact I am looking for some myself.)
